About me:

Hello! My name is Don.

I am an easy going person who treats each client the way that I would expect to be treated, that is with respect, honesty and integrity.

My style of approach is to encourage you (the client), to take back control as soon as possible. First of all in something small and gradually working towards the final goal. After all, my aim is to help you help yourself in becoming the person that you want to be – to give you a Life After Traumatic Events.

I am a qualified counsellor, psychotherapist and hypnotist. accredited registrant of the National Counselling Society.  I am very passionate about my work and often hear from clients how that has  benefited them.

I have the experience of working with individual adults, young people and couples.  My clients present with issues such as depression, anxiety, self esteem, relationship issues, domestic abuse, trauma, stress, bereavement and loss. Some present with issues which could a detrimental impact on their everyday lives.

I follow data protection policy and guidelines, thus ensuring confidentiality. I am DBS checked and have necessary insurance.

Phone or Zoom, etc.  £25-45/ session. 8am-10pm except Fridays.  Registered  BACP.  Clinical experience. Masters psychology degree.  Diploma in counselling.  Conducting a doctorate research thesis.

I am an eclectic professional with years of clinical experience: currently a Trainee Counselling Psychologist on a professional doctorate in counselling psychology, already with a Diploma in Human Relations & Counselling (Psychodynamic modality) and an MA Hons Psychology degree, as well as extensive and broad working and voluntary experience over four years.

I can help with relationship problems, anger management, bereavement and loss, and life direction issues. 
Sometimes we don’t like where our life is heading or perhaps it feels like our life is heading nowhere and we need to kick-start a change.

My approach is to use Person Centred therapy where we work through what is happening for you and why it affects you the way it does and  use Solution Focused Therapy to focus on the future you want and the daily tasks and steps that will take you there.
 
I offer a positive approach to help you find answers to the challenges you face. We will work at your pace on the issues you want to address.
