Counselling is a unique experience in which an individual can explore, understand and accept themselves and their relationships with others. I know how having someone to turn to, to talk about how you feel can be so helpful. It can be life changing.
We have all struggled with difficult times in our lives and had difficult emotions to try and make sense of. You are not alone.
In my practice I will support you to know yourself better, by helping you reflect, think and feel about your experiences. I will help you grow your own self-acceptance and awareness.
I have experience of helping people with:
anxiety
depression
loss and grief
low self esteem
relationship problems
family problems
work or academic problems
I have with different adult age age groups from students to those nearing the end of their lives. I particularly like to support people with low self esteem grow, learn and develop. You can share your thoughts, feelings & problems with me. I will listen to you with compassion and care.
We have all experienced times when we have felt vulnerable, isolated or stuck. We have all experienced times in our lives where we struggle with all kinds of tough experiences. It’s at times like these when you may need someone to talk to – someone who will not judge, evaluate or try and make you follow particular advice. I hope I can be that person for you.
The type of therapy that I work with is about building a strong therapeutic relationship, where you can feel trust, care and security. We can explore, together, the many thoughts, feelings, memories and experiences that make you today. We can look at past influences and see how they shape you now. There are many ways we can do this and we can adapt and create a way to work together that suits your needs.
