Hi there I’m Kayleigh, I am an experienced psychotherapist from Cornwall, I am registered with the BACP (British association of counsellors and psychotherapists) i have always been interested in people and i have a passion for helping create positive change in the lives of my clients and i value each and every one of my clients, I Enjoy ART, nature, dog walking and Training within psychology.

in light of the terribly hard situation the world is in currently with Covid19, it can be such a straining and stressful time for all of us, not knowing when we can get back to our lives can feel very isolating in itself and with lockdown we can start to feel very bleak in our perceptions of life, talking and exploring how we feel and our concerns can if anything allow us to hear our own voice and take a step back to analyze our hopes and fears, i will be working full time through the pandemic and I’m very flexible with hours.
no one should feel alone in this.
I started my counselling studies in 2015 and i completed 5 years of training and study, I have been working with clients since 2017, and i started out working within an organization that caters for victims of domestic/sexual abuse and family violence, i still work within these areas alongside general counselling issue’s, i train regularly every month on different topics such as trauma, substance abuse, mental health, attachment and more.
I work also in my own private practice and i have worked with a variety of people and subjects, its my belief that through building an honest therapeutic relationship we can work together to find some inner peace.
I admire anyone who takes the step to seek therapy, i totally understand how brave an individual is to do some self reflection and work internally.
I understand how difficult it can be to take the first step when looking for support but I will do all I can to put you at ease. I am experienced in a wide range of issues, supporting clients from all walks of life, My approach is holistic, humanistic and person-centred in that I am interested in “the whole person”. I also believe you are the expert on yourself, and through counselling we can explore many different aspects of the self, I understand that Sometimes we all feel broken, run down & stressed, we panic and feel overwhelmed with the feeling that we are being pulled in too many directions.
Our experiences in life can often leave us feeling an array of emotions, from feeling unheard, isolated, un worthy, angry frustrated and so on, this is a very difficult space to be in, its my aim to facilitate a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space for you to explore your current issues along with historical issues in your life,
by building trust in the therapeutic relationship, I intend to emotionally walk by your side on your journey to self-empowerment, it’s my core belief that through trust, support and voicing our emotions in a safe space we can truly find resolve and peace within ourselves.
