I am a psychotherapeutic counsellor working with adults (18+ years) on a short, medium or long-term basis. I have a specialist interest in men’s mental health, workplace stress, relationship & family difficulties, and LGBTQ+ specific issues.
I hold a Masters level Post-Graduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling, accredited by Middlesex University. Psychosynthesis is a style of counselling and psychotherapy which utilises a range of approaches and techniques, including guided visualisations, to help cultivate self-awareness and willpower.
As a member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy, I adhere to their professional codes of ethics and best practice.
Prior to my training, I spent 15 years working in large, multinational organisations, so appreciate how executive demands and everyday pressures may leave you feeling overwhelmed and anxious.
In addition to my time in business, I am a passionate supporter of the LGBTQ+ community, having volunteered for mental health and well-being organisations including Terrence Higgins Trust, Switchboard and Albert Kennedy Trust.
If you are new to counselling or psychotherapy I know how nervous you are probably feeling. Taking such a step can be challenging. Yet, I also know how incredibly rewarding it can be.
As your guide, I will explore your challenges alongside you and at your own pace; helping you to find choice where there appears to be none. In turn, you can become more motivated, and make better professional and personal decisions.
I offer one-to-one counselling & psychotherapy sessions and depending on your hopes and needs, we can work together over a brief period or for however long you require. Online sessions are conducted via Zoom, with face-to-face* availability at my London Bridge location (*pandemic guidelines dependent).
Sessions are weekly and 50-minutes in duration. An initial commitment of six sessions (including an introductory, assessment session) is recommended, with a discussion in the sixth session to determine your on-going therapeutic needs.
