Hello, I am a very creative and warm, caring Therapist. I work very ethically and I am very dedicated and passionate about my work. I work holistically: I work with patterns of behaviour, thoughts and feelings and with the whole body.
I work with people from all walks of life. I currently work in an NHS service for people with postnatal depression and anxiety. I also have worked for various Mental Health charities such as MIND and more local ones.
My approach is Gestalt, which is a model that centers on the relationship between the therapist and client. Gestalt psychotherapy looks at what the client brings from relationships in their lives to the relationship with the therapist. I help clients shine a light on the difficulties that they are having in their life and I help them gain awareness on what they would like to change or do differently in order to get what they need and feel satisfied. This can involve looking at self-esteem, coping mechanisms, strengths and hindrances from the past that are feeding poor thinking, unhelpful patterns of behaviour, flight or freeze responses, physical ailments that could be psychosomatic, etc. The aspects of our selves to explore in psychotherapy are endless, they depend on your needs. I am happy to start anywhere and journey wherever you want, and I’m happy to look at personal goals alongside you too.
