How often you go depends on whether your symptoms are mild or moderate, and if you can function outside of the facility. Outpatient centers cater to individuals, groups, families, and support groups.

Mental health patients in need of stabilization, medication, fluid and nutrition administration, and close monitoring are typically admitted to a private or state psychiatric hospital. Psychiatric hospitalization is either voluntary or involuntary, depending on the situation, when you last ate or slept, and if you’ve been have delusions or suicidal thoughts.
