About Me

I am a fully qualified Psychotherapist, Hypnotherapist, and a specialist in Rapid Transformational Therapy.

I have worked with many professional women over the years I’ve been in practice. I understand how frustrating it can be for women who are used to achieving and seeing results quickly, to spend months and thousands of pounds in talk therapy and not really feel any tangible, significant shifts, often for years.

I wanted to be able to help my clients to achieve significant results as quickly as possible.

Having researched and experienced many techniques I discovered the power of hypnotherapy, specifically Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) and have since used it in combination with other therapeutic techniques (including aspects of Psychodynamic,  Solution Focussed Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and NLP) to best suit each individual client. I am now able to help my clients to achieve their goals by getting right to the core of what it is that’s been holding them back, sometimes in as little as three sessions.

Working together I have been able to help my clients to feel a positive shift in as little as 3 sessions with me.

My Experience

I run a successful private practice seeing clients both face-to-face and on-line via Skype or Zoom.  I have also worked for Barts NHS Trust, within the Psychological Support Bereavement Centre at Whipps Cross, London.

I absolutely love what I do and over the years have spent a long time understanding and finding the best way of offering clients the best form of therapy in helping them achieve their goals in a much quicker time frame.  However, I do view every client as an individual with their own unique experiences, so my therapeutic approach is suited to an individual’s needs rather than being prescriptive.

I am an experienced and professionally qualified BACP registered member and Integrative Psychotherapist, Counsellor, Hypnotherapist and Rapid Transformational Therapist.

I have regular fortnightly Clinical supervision and regularly attend CPD courses and training. As part of my own personal development, I have been in personal therapy for over fifteen years.

“Recently Brid guided me through my first ever hypnotherapy exercise – Upgrading the Child. We had agreed in a previous session that hypnotherapy would be a productive way for me to move through a particular issue. She gave me detailed information about what the exercise would entail, how long it would take, and helped me to feel comfortable about the process. On the day of the session I felt anxious about proceeding, however, Brid again explained the process step by step, and above all, that I couldn’t possibly get it wrong and that there were no ‘right’ answers.

I am so pleased that I went ahead with it. Brid used a simple, yet effective method to put me into a deeply relaxed, meditative state. She guided me through the exercise gently and skilfully as I engaged with my child self and with other significant players in my journey. Brid held the space well so that I felt safe and able to fully sink into and experience my feelings. My Approach

I work fast and make sure that we get right to the core of your issue and begin the healing process straight away. Each session lasts up to 2 hours

My Four Week Programme:

Step 1: Discover

We begin our programme with a discovery session to uncover your deepest desires, core beliefs and values.  We will discuss how these issues may be stopping you from moving forward and taking control of your life with more focus, energy and confidence.

Step 2: Clear

Once we identify the challenges in your life, we then work with your subconscious mind to address the root cause of the negative barriers, where we can then begin to make space for the positive changes and powerful new beliefs. This work is done during an intensive Rapid Transformational Hypnotherapy session usually lasting around 2 hrs.

Step 3: Re-Frame

In the 2 hour intensive session, we discuss particular moments in your life where limiting beliefs and negative patterns of behaviours were created. Through re-framing the beliefs you created and applying positive therapeutic suggestions  you will then begin to transform those beliefs to create new, healthier patterns of thinking  that allow you to feel empowered and in control of your thoughts and emotions.

Step 4: Transform

You will receive a personalised transformational recording, which you listen to for 21 days.  This is a key element of the programme where you will embed your new positive and powerful beliefs and behaviours into particular areas of your life and will make these profound changes permanent.

Step 5: Integrate

As you integrate your new beliefs and behaviours, we will catch up weekly over the following three weeks.  This is a chance for us to review your progress each week observing signs of growth, but also giving you the space to discuss any feelings or thoughts that have come up since working together.  From these sessions you will learn that changing how you think and feel, changes your view of yourself, which ultimately changes your life.

 

Online Therapy

Online therapy is scientifically proven to be as effective as face-to-face therapy. There’s no reason why we should be stuck with the old ideas of face-to-face therapy when we could be enjoying working conveniently, securely and efficiently online, in particular during the current pandemic of the coronavirus (COVID-19). The other bonus to this approach is that online therapy can fit around your lifestyle, so once ‘normal life’ resumes, this can also be an effective way of working together, in particular,  if you’re travelling for work, struggle to leave the home due to anxious thoughts, work for yourself and need to minimise downtime, or perhaps have difficulties finding childcare, this can fit into your routine seamlessly.

Skype or Zoom is a very convenient way to engage in therapy when you can’t attend face to face sessions.

Once COVID-19 allows us to resume normal services, I will then be available to offer Therapy face-to-face from my Walthamstow and Leyton practice in East London. Both are in easy reach of South Woodford, Snaresbrook, Woodford, Wanstead, Highams Park, Aldersbrook, Buckhurst Hill, Chigwell, Chingford, Ilford and other surrounding areas
