Hi, welcome to my profile page.  I am an experienced Therapist and Clinician who is available to offer online therapy.  I will also be offering face to face sessions in the future but not in the current COVID crisis.

I am a warm, genuine, committed Therapist who focuses on relationships and am an open, honest but compassionate and kind individual.  I enjoy working as a Therapist and have a busy personal life enjoyimg lovely walks on the beach (I live in Brighton) cycling and all year round sea swimming, socialising with family and friends and music and gigs.

My Experience

I am a Cognitive Analytic Therapist since 2011  and a Registered Mental Health Nurse (since 1995)

I have a wide range of experience in NHS Mental Health Services, with both adults, children, adolescents and families.  I have been working privately as a Therapist since 2012 and am experienced using online platforms

Currently I work in a Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service in the NHS

In past roles I have worked in Crisis/First Response Teams, in a specialist Eating Disorder Unit, with clients with Trauma, with families and in IAPT/NHS Psychological Therapy Services

My Approach

Cognitive Analytic Therapy is a structured, time limited approach that explores relationships, past and present and some of the relationship dynamics we may get caught up which affect our ways of relating to ourselves and others.  In therapy we would be interested in exploring some of the coping strategies you may have developed at different points in your life, and whether they are helpful to you in your life now, or something that could be causing difficulties.

CAT is an integrative approach, that combines different therapeutic traditions, to help the client to first understand themselves and the origins of their difficulties, before exploring change strategies that can be used to improve relationship
