Maria Patricia Rogers
I run my own practice called Ray of hope counselling services, I have a degree in counselling and psychotherapy. I also have an advanced diploma in integrative counselling. I offer clients therapy using the humanistic approach. I have a great deal of experience in counselling and group work. I have worked within various professional organisations, including the NHS and The Priory Hospital, working with addiction and many other issues such as trauma anxiety and depression.
I provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment offering my clients unconditional, positive regard and empathy as they grow and develop. This can lead to greater insight, healing and progress. Sometimes the world we live in gets tough. There can be so many mix messages which we start to believe about ourselves, this can sometimes develop into a negative core belief such as. ” I’m not good enough or I don’t fit in”, and many more, as a result of this clients can often feel depressed, it starts to affect self-esteem. Counselling can help clients to challenge these negative core beliefs and help break the patterns this will result in a more positive self-concept. and self-belief.
