Talk to a friendly, knowledgeable member of our team and see how we can help.
I have been in mental health for over twenty years and my work as a psychotherapist is where I belong: it is a vocation. I bring to the work not only the solid base of knowledge gained in trainings; but also the insights and inspiration drawn from the privilege of working with others’ stories; the wisdom that comes from living through my own real challenges in life and in ageing; and the warmth, empathy and perspective with which I build good strong therapeutic relationships. Trust is, ultimately, what we need to be able to be who we really are; I offer the safest possible space to allow you to trust me.
I offer reduced fees for people in financial difficulties. A reduced price between £45-55 will be discussed during our trial session.

I am a qualified Psychotherapist counsellor who practices with a Humanistic & Integrative approach. This means I will focus on the needs of you, using techniques from different approaches.
Each and everyone of us are unique and therefore I do not feel I am the expert of you and can tell you what to do, my belief is to support and guide you, with my experience to help you work through your concerns. So that you can start to feel more complete within yourself.
The first step in starting counselling can feel overwhelming, bringing past thoughts to the surface and stirring up feelings of being judged, neglect, not trusting the other. My attitude is to value you for doing the best you can. It can be tough for us at times. Let us accept us for who and how we are right now at this moment.
I have personal experiences around being judged, mental health as well as trauma, so please do not feel you are alone. Once we allow ourselves to sit with the uncomfortable feelings, we will begin to flourish.

About me
I specialise in helping couples and individuals improve their relationships and overcome anxiety, anger and depression. I also work with a wide range of other issues.
I am an experienced BACP accredited psychotherapist and certified Imago relationship therapist with training in CBT. I have a Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Regents College and have been in private practice since 2009. My approach is integrative, and I am a recognized provider for WPA, AXA and BUPA.
How can I help?
1) Marital and Relationship Issues
As a Certified Imago Relationship Therapist I work with individuals and couples to understand the causes of their difficulties and rebuild love and connection in their relationships.
Couples often experience a breakdown of communication, that causes a fight and flight reaction. These may become repetitive cycle of self destructive behaviour were anger expressed spins out of control .A reduction of emotional closeness, trust and physical intimacy follows which can lead to crises in the relationship, affairs and even the threat of divorce.
Together we explore what you need, why there is disconnection and how you can get the relationship you want. A key to this is building open and calm communication in order to understand each other, resolve conflict and meet each others needs . We also focus on building greater appreciation, care and fun to reignite love and connection in the relationship.
2) Overcoming Anxiety ( Generalised Anxiety Disorder & Panic attacks)
Anxiety comes from underlying fear. To overcome it, we need to understand what the fear is and what is causing it. Sometimes it can be based on illusory thinking, where a person focuses on the worst case scenario coming true. These thoughts need to be challenged so we can eliminate them. . When the fear is a real one, it needs to be confronted by taking appropriate action. There are times when anxiety is based on the influences from past experiences, which need to be addressed to resolve them.
3) Anger Management
Anger can wreak havoc in a person’s life. With anger management a person gains understanding into what’s triggering the anger and how to change the way you respond. This can be by expressing feelings in a healthy way, and taking appropriate steps to solve the underlying cause of the anger. In each case anger management is tailored to the needs of the clients.

Are you someone experiencing anger, anxiety, worry, stress, negative self-talk, or self-doubt? Does it feel as though negative thoughts, comparisons, “what ifs”, and worst-case scenarios are constantly occupying your mind? Perhaps you’re tired of putting others first and not prioritising your own needs? Are you tired of feeling alone? Or are you feeling overwhelmed and maybe even burnt out from life (and that was even before lockdown!)?
I know from my own experiences and from many years of helping people that putting yourself first and asking for help can bring up feelings of fear and indeed shame. I’ve been there and it sucks to feel this way but the good news is: you’re not alone and it’s possible to find relief.
Together, we can help you discover your ability to build confidence, boost your self-esteem, tackle stress whether it be at home or at work, create healthy relationships with yourself and others, and gain control of the worry and anxiety in your life.
When I work with my clients, I use compassion, humour, and absolutely no judgment because therapy should be a place where you feel safe to be yourself; the “real you”. I will provide the effective techniques and support you need to gain growth, understanding, and develop skills that will help you start living the awesome life you deserve.
We all have the ability to change but sometime’s we need a little bit of help getting there.
Finding a therapist takes courage, and I’m so glad you’re here! Whether this is your first time or you have previous experience with counselling, I will be happy to join with you wherever you are on your journey. Email me to schedule your first session today!

With the outbreak of Corona Disease i am now offering support via Telephone and internet versions of face to face therapy, supporting people affected by the condition or illnesses that could be regarded as high risk during this tough period.
Life can sometimes be so complex and difficult that we do not always feel able to sort it out and get back to feeling “normal again”.
The complexity of life and the hardships that some people have to endure has always fascinated me, and having experienced many personal losses and life changing events myself, my passion has grown, and I would like the opportunity to “make a difference” and support those when it is most needed.
Working in my current work environments I understand how the demands of daily life and major life events such as a Bereavement, Domestic Violence, Physical/Sexual abuse, or divorce can leave us feeling overwhelmed, confused or even just sad.
I also have experience of supporting Family affected by MND, and emotional support around the journey they will be going through.
My role as your Counsellor is to help you to explore the feelings and emotions that are often related to your current/past life experiences. I offer you the opportunity to reflect on what is happening in your world and for me to support you therapeutically to explore alternative ways of copings and dealing with emotive issues, that impact negatively on your life and to family and friends that are dear to you..
I appreciate how difficult it can be to discuss personal problems or even where or how to begin, but I offer a safe place to express your feelings and concerns, listen to you without judgement, and give you the time and safety to explore your emotional concerns, and support you through your decision making process.
